Open Thread: Thrashers @ Capitals

Season Series: Tied at 1 Each
Previous Meetings
October 5, 2007: Capitals 3 at Thrashers 1
November 6, 2007: Capitals 1 at Thrashers 2 (OT)
Player to Watch
Look for some more understated but masterful play from Tobias Enstrom on defense tonight. The young Swede has caught the eye of several lately and even came up on the CBC's HNIC radio show yesterday. I'd expect his game to be sharp for this match up and maybe he can even stop Michael Nylander from getting on the score sheet..--Jennifer
Why They'll Win
The Thrashers are 8-2 over their last 10 games. The Capitals are 2-7-1. You don't break out of a rut like that against a team as hot as the Thrashers.--Jennifer
The Thrashers are 8-2 over their last 10 games...and playing beyond their abilities. The Capitals are 2-7-1...and playing beneath theirs. Let's just say I feel the wind starting to change.--CapsChick

Your optimism is cute there CapsChick, but I recommend taking a crying towel with you to the Verizon Center. ;)
Oh, I will...but only because I'm going to the game with a couple of Thrashers fans and I don't want them getting tears on my jersey ;)
If they are Thrashers fans then you clearly hang out with a more enlighten hockey crowd than most of your caps brethren.
2 Goals and 2 Assists with just over 10 minutes left in the game. How on earth is Mr. Kolvalchuk not in the top 5 for ASG voting?
Happy Thanksgiving for Caps fans...Hanlon was fired this AM!
Thanks Thrashers!
