12 Days of Kovalchuk: Day 11--Because the Team Media Folks Say So

For this 11th day of Kovalchuk we turn to the Thrashers officials in charge of shameless marketing. I've only visited a handful of NHL arenas, but from what I've seen the Thrashers folks do a great job of putting together pieces for in-game entertainment. They obviously aren't as partial to Ilya Kovalchuk's as we are--they boldly ask you to include Marian Hossa and Slava Kozlov when you vote. This is a good effort from them (too bad their video embed link doesn't work well with blogger...so scroll to the end of the post) so we share it here and ask you to cast your vote today.

If the video doesn't do it for you then perhaps the promise from Official Team Blogger, Ben Wright will. Ben has pledged to shave his head if Kovy is voted in. I had some PhotoShop fun at Ben's expense...and let's just say the results aren't pretty. In fact, I saved this for the last minute so that his lovely wife wouldn't see it and start stacking the ballot box for some other Russian.
