Player to Watch
So far this season Ilya Kovalchuk has 8 points against the Panthers. The disgusting loss against the Flyers should have him worked up for a good game.--Jennifer
Why They'll Win
The Kitties have only won 1 of their last 5 games. If the Thrashers can avoid having a let down period they should be able to pull out a win here.--Jennifer

MISS JENNIFER:
Could you start listing "A Player to Watch BESIDES Kovalchuk"? It's like having a Cleveland Cadavers blog with LeBron James with a player to watch...
Fascinating suggestion Wayne. It would be easier to accomplish if we had other players on the roster.
Here is the math...so far the Thrashers have scored 123 goals this season. Kovy has 36 goals and 25 assists for a total of 61 points. In other words Kovy is in part responsible for very nearly 50% of our production.
Is there someone you think better represents our opportunity to win?
"Is there someone you think better represents our opportunity to win?"
No, it may be another scathing indictment of: a)Hossa's slump, b)the decline of Kozlov and Holik, c)us not getting anything back when we let Marc Savard go, d)the trades we made last year (and basically got nothing for THIS year).
